Mohammed Khudairi is a native of Baghdad, Iraq. He is passionate about connecting Iraqi startups with the rest of the world. He helped with the launch of TechHub, Iraq’s premier co-working space in Erbil, Iraq, is a contributor to Bite.Tech, a site devoted to tech ecosystem news in Iraq. He angel invests in startups in the Middle East and the US.
He is the Managing Partner of a family-owned company with his brother (Subhi Khudairi, below) and father, Khudairi Group, which operates in a variety of business units across Baghdad, Basra, and Kurdistan. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Iraqi Children Foundation, a non-profit focused on improving the lives of Iraqi children who have been orphaned and disadvantaged by violence and war in Iraq.
Subhi Khudairi also native to Baghdad, Iraq, serves as President of Khudairi Group and is responsible for the development of the company’s strategy, corporate governance, and the performance and growth of all functions within its business units. He is an active board member of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) and the US-Kurdistan Business Council (USKBC), and is also a member of the Bayou Breakfast Club (BBC) and a Baker Institute Associate Roundtable Member. He is an angel investor to several successful startups in the USA and the Middle East.
Laura Olivier is a former Business Development Associate for Khudairi Group, where she was exposed to the business climate in Iraq as a project leader for various client management and marketing initiatives. She currently operates a fitness studio in Dubai, UAE, where she learned firsthand about the challenges of starting a successful business and building a brand as a first-time entrepreneur. She is currently a MBA candidate at IE’s Global MBA program. Laura manages marketing, applications, and research for Iraq Tech Ventures.
